BLOG 31. What may be the penalty for a severe resistance during a dressage test? If the resistance endangers the Athlete, but happens before the horse enters the Arena, can the judge punish the rider?

 

In accordance with the FEI Rules, “Any resistance which prevents the continuation of the test longer than twenty (20) seconds is punished by Elimination.

 

However, resistance that may endanger Athlete, Horse, Judges or the public will be result in elimination for safety reasons earlier than within twenty (20) seconds.

 

This also applies to any resistance before the entering the Dressage arena or when leaving the arena.
