Dressage scoring explained by Cesar Torrente No. 22.

In a freestyle, if my horse is very disobedient before the halt, will the judges will take it into consideration or not? Is it different if the horse is disobedient before entering the arena?

All mistakes made before the initial salute will be considered by the judges but not the ones that may happen before you enter the arena since the test only starts after you enter at A on the center line for the salute.

And please remember that “The first and the last halt and salute have to be shown on the centre line in the direction of C.”
